Winter Full Day and Mini Adventures in a Nutshell
at DogTrax, Camp is Daycare....
....BUT we saw a need to re-invent traditional dog daycare and bring some balance.
Camp is ultimately the exploration of our wild world, so we go and roam to our hearts content. But daycare needed something more; a pivot point to address the deeper needs of the dog.
So, we established a small group format and introduced skill building like Parkour, agility and scentwork. But what better way to round out the day than to relax with a soulful massage.
Winter Camp Itinerary
A typical day looks like this:
- 9am roll call and get ready to load up in the van,
- Off to the lake, river, Sniff Spot, mountains, farms, pastures,
- Lunch on the Lawn (for full day camp)
- Skill Session in basic manners and a dog sport like agility,
- Art project or independent study,
- Free Style play and massages,
- Clean up.
EVERY DAY IS AN ADVENTURE!
We celebrate birthdays, National days i.e. National Dog Biscuit Day, Dog Bakery Crawl, National Puppy Day and get involved with the National Day of Giving.
We paint pictures, take hikes, bob for apples, learn to walk together, pose for awesome pictures, find your stuff, jump over a log, get dirty, take a bath, swim, run, cultivate individual strengths, find the joy in having fun with friends.
Puppy Quest
Puppy Quest is camp but in an appropriate portion for the "wee" ones.
This is an action packed couple hours that will keep your pup on the right path for success without overwhelming them. All positive, all the time. Starting October 14, 2024. For pups under a year.
Your dog's environment is our "Facility"
Our "facility" is the great outdoors and my home, that I call, "Base Camp". Rainy days? we go for a mud run and dry off with terry bath towels (bathes are included).
Hot days? We go hiking in the hills or use the lakes around us and swim, kayak or paddleboard.
Our facility has no walls or a ceiling. That's how we like it.

Dogs learn to safely jump, climb, balance, and maneuver around various environmental obstacles with engagement and confidence.

WHAT THE HECK IS PARKOUR?
Come and join us to find out. Check out our Introduction class and field day.
- This is a program that gets together on 2 separate days.
- The first day is a seminar that introduces you to canine parkour, what you need to get started, the key concepts including: "Safety", "Choice", "Eye" and "Spotting" and skill introduction.
- The second day is getting out there and trying out those new skills. The class decides when to meet for this day.
- Fulfills the prerequisite to join in classes and sessions.
- Endless benefits for your dog and you as well.

This will give you the foundation and support to be successful in the sport of Parkour within a class setting

WANT TO DO A GUIDED SESSION?
A guided practice or "Session" is an inexpensive Parkour "class-ette", if you will. It offers guidance in your practice if you need it.
Have a blast with your dog and your friends. Do something new. Have a buddy do your videos for titles submissions. Schedule up to 15 mins ahead.
- Prerequisite: Parkour Introduction required.

over night slUMBER PARTIES AND spot checks
WE ARE NOT A BOARDING FACILITY or KENNEL.
Our Slumber Parties provide friends and family peace of mind that their canine partner is being taken care of in the best way possible whether it's during the day, week or month. This is a catered, homestyle, sleep-over with a balanced, whole dog approach.
We play together.
We learn things.
We go places.
We do stuff.
Our Slumber Party guests stay in a historic home in the heart of Old Folsom. No kennels or concrete floors. Only 4 dogs at a time. No overcrowding.
We have a unique interactive yard:
filtered water fountains throughout,
canine parkour station,
agility equipment,
outdoor grooming station with warm and cool water,
a couple of dog pools,
interactive tug station,
poofy sleeping bags in the "dog den"
at the end of the day there is a
turn down service that includes organic, homemade, pillow treats and a massage.
There are tons of things included in their stay: bone or stuffed toy time, games hour, art projects, pillow talks, awe-inspiring field trips, daily walks and off leash runs. Videos and pictures with your morning report and throughout the day.
